RE: [alfa] GT4 not GTV4? **PLUS Acronyms/abbreviatons in postings**

I understand, but this is the internet, and there's a blurry line between
having the masses that have been there for a while jump through hoops to
educate an occasional newbie (to the forum, or to the terms), vs placing the
onus on the newbie to do a little research to get up to speed on what others
may already be quite comfortable with. I feel your pain, and agree that
probably 1/2 of the acronyms could have used some up front definition. Fwiw
(For What It's Worth!), a post by Peter Webb regarding programmable engine
control stuff of a couple of weeks ago almost made my head explode, as most
of the acronyms he used were neither general internet or Alfa related.

I'm well aware of it, but also use this e-mail account for most of my
e-mail, work or personal related - it's easier for me to filter e-mail on
the receiving end than it is to deal with multiple accounts.. So listing
all of my Alfas in Cisco related e-mails isn't appropriate, nor is providing
my internal Cisco contact information to all of my Alfa friends..

HTH (Hope This Helps),
