Ordered and installed rebuilt Bosch starter for my 76 Spider.  The old 
starter is much longer than the replacement.  I do not care about that but 
regardless of several adjustment attempts the new starter still sounds terrible.  Must 
you leave the shouldered special bolt out or what?    Only occasional grinding 
from the original starter ring gear looks good.
