[alfa] Re: Leather restoration

Hi Bob:

See AlfaBill's site, and check out the Leatherique. I had great results on the leather of my '87 Spider Veloce. For the seats, I soaked the seats with the oil, covered them with large plastic bags, and parked the covered car in the sun for a few weeks. During that time I repeated the oil application 4 times, so it takes a little patience, but the results were worth it. I brought back a shift boot from the dead, too. It was paper thin and stiff as cardboard. It soaked up almost 3 oz. of the conditioning oil, and looks and feels better than a new one.

Subject: [alfa] Leather restoration

Hello all,

My '92 164L has a tan leather interior thats in need of some TLC. The leather
isn't torn but appears "dull" in some spots and shows a multitude of hairline
cracks. Hate to replace it at this point....any suggestions on restoration
products, tips, etc?

Thanks much!
