[alfa] Transaxle help

While working on the rear end of the Verde this weekend I encountered two 
problems that need some digest wisdom.

I removed the driver side rear axle/half-shaft to R&R the rubber boots that 
are cracked. I have the axle on the bench and can not see how it comes 
apart to replace the boots.  Any suggestions here?

I am also replacing the flexible brake hose between the body and the 
transaxle.  The nut loosens but the rigid metal brake line rotates with the 
nut.  I've tried penetrant with no apparent results.  I'm also trying the 
remove one of the brake calipers and disconnect the rigid line from the 'T' 
block behind the transaxle - same problem as above.  Any ideas here?
