[alfa] Front End Damage to '74 GTV?
The passenger side front shock absorber on my '74 GTV looks like it has been pushed up slightly into the wheel well - there
appears to be a small indentation where this happened that has altered the wheel well. The driver side looks fine, and the
clearance is greater on the driver side than the clearance on the passenger side. How brutal or fatal is this, and can I fix it?
The car drives fine except for some weird behavior on I-5 changing lanes that could be due to the tire grooves in the road, it
tracks straight and the tires wear evenly, although PO (a Digester) provided an idler arm rebuild kit and suggested that either
or both of the idler arm and the steering box need rebuilding. It's not a race car, although of course we all want the best for
our Alfas.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.
