Re: Indecisive speedo needle

James,
Most of the wagging speedo needles I have encountered over the years were
caused by one of three things:
1. Lack of lubrication on the speedo cable
2. Damaged or bent speedo cable
3. Damaged or bent speedo cable housing
Lube is the easiest, try that and if that fails replace the cable and
housing as a unit. Usually trying to make one of those 'universal' cable kits
work is an excercise in futility.

Subject: Indecisive speedo needle

While the speedo topic is still active, I thought I9d ask ...

What is the common reason for a wagging speedo needle?
I can live with mine, but every time I see the thing, I think I ought to
ask.
(Oh yeah - in the GTV)

Cheers,
