V6 Timing Belt
I use a Zat mechanical tensioner on my race car, and although I replace the
timing belt every few races, I know that there are Digesti who use them
quite successfully on their street cars.
What do other engine makers use to tension the timing belts on their
engines?
Finally, I really think that if the 60 degree contact issue was significant,
Alfa would have modified the position/size of the distributor/oil pump drive
pulley during the fairly long course of the 12v engine's production.
If anyone is interested, I am currently working on a timing belt conversion
kit for the 4 cylinder Alfas, to keep that pesky timing chain from dragging
y'all down. I just want to bring the joy of bent valves into a few more
lives!
