Re: A New Track in the NorthEast!

Richard,
Yes, the effort is very well funded. It is a group of club racers who have
the backing of a group of well-funded businessmen who want to see a return
on investment. The money for building the track, vehicle dynamics area,
paddocks and garages is 'in the bank', so to speak. They are not depending
on memberships for building the infrastructure!

The track will be SCCA certified, supply SCCA-trained corner workers and
maintain its own fire/rescue crews. If clubs want to rent the facility it
will be a turnkey operation....just arrive and drive. There will be several
race prep businesses, a tire distributor, a driving school and a 'pro shop'
on-site. Plans include having a race car rentals available.

The club racers put together a wish-list and the businessmen have agreed to
make it happen!

It will be easily accessible....seven miles south of Conway on Rt 16 is
where Rt 25 intersects. Take Rt 25 south, past the old Mt Whittier Ski Area
and Club Motorsports is on the left about a mile (give or take) from there.

Eagerly waiting,

Debbie
