Re: The end of Autodelta?
Arent some smaller manufactures exempt from some of these laws? Panoz
comes to mind as a manufacturer that sold limited-number production cars
without airbags and other safety equipment a few years ago (as recently as
1999) in their AIV Roadster. So why cant Autodelta do this as well? How
do some companies become exempt while others dont? I would imagine that if
Autodelta had actually done some assembly, like having the engine and car
shipped separately then assembling them at their factory, they would have
a had better chance at some of these exemptions. Thats just a guess but
does anybody know what qualifies as a limited production car and what safely
features might be exempt?
