RE: 91 Spider Low Idle - Update: NOT STARTING!

Hmmm, my first guess considering that it was idling poorly and now won't
start is that there is a vacuum leak somewhere?

Did you pull a plug, and check for spark?

All the ground wires attached, and attached securely?

Always check the simple things first, 9 1/2 times out of 10 it is always
something simple.

If you don't find anything real obvious, pull off all the plastic connectors
for the fuel injection system and look at them to be sure that none of the
pins have pushed out of the modular connectors. I've been burned by this on
more than one occasion ... although the connector appears to be properly
connected, one of the pins inside the connector may have pushed out and can
cause all sorts of problems.

HTH ... come back with more information if you can't get it figured out.

Subject: 91 Spider Low Idle - Update: NOT STARTING!

Ok, after I post my message on the digest I decide to give the Spider a nice
bath and some attention to the finer parts of the car. And how does she
repay me, you ask? By not starting.

The engine cranks & cranks & cranks....getting fuel (disconnected the fuel
line at the rail and fuel comes out), turns over fine but thats all I know
right now. I had changed NOTHING from earlier...except washing the car..
hood closed and everything.

a cruel mistress, my Spider.....
