Twin Spark conversion (to an Alfetta ?)
Interesting discussion about swapping a 75 twinspark motor into a 105 chassis -
I'd love to see the photos Jim. The conversion documented on Alfacentro is
great too.
But has anyone done this to an Alfetta GT? It might seem strange & misguided to
many but this is the modification that appeals to me. I always liked the design
of the pre-GTV6 GT (apart from that crazy central gauge), they can be picked up
pretty cheaply, the mono-spark engine was a getting a little strangled by the
time the Alfetta came along, and I've had a GTV6...so I think this would make a
great car. Since it's a transaxle engine going into a transaxle chassis I'm
assuming that the conversion would be easy, but I could of course be
dangerously wrong about that. Also Jim's warning about the taller head is
well-taken since the Alfetta-GT hood is pretty sloped; the GTV6 needed a bulge
and that plastic-thing to clear the V6.
Plus there's a guy selling 2xTS motors on ebay...
any thoughts?
