2 liter teardown, continued

Gentle Alfisti,
The damaged engine gave up it's head yesterday afternoon, but the no. three 
piston and rod would not exit through the top of the liner bore. The rod's 
big end was so deformed that it bound at the very base of the liner, where 
apon inspection, I could see damage from the rods impact...though it had 
never actually parted from the crank. Now that the liner has been 
functionally staked to the block, it's a real mystery if it will ever be able 
to be removed or if the block be a candidate for the scrap heap. Even if it 
could be driven out, it's damage would certainly compromise any future seal 
of a new liner. Blast.
