From what I understand, these cranks are beyond tough.  And more than 
likely, you will be ok.

BUT, find a good crank shop in your area to have them check it for cracks 
and damage.  If the throws need ground, you may need to have it re-nitrided 
to keep it's legendary toughness.

The test should be pretty easy and painless, it will be a magnetic die test...
