Re: timing chain loose



Ken, so far so good.  Re the idle, I would check all the plumbing, elec
connections and grounds.  Also, make sure you put the cam bearing shafts
back in the right order so that the reference marks are correct.  The
bearing caps are numbered with #1 being the forward cap on the exhaust side.
I have reused exhaust manifold gaskets on occasion.  If you had an exhaust
leak bad enough to affect running, you would probably hear it pretty
clearly.
