And the winner is...



Jim Steck.  He suggested my Verde was stuck in first gear for the following
reason:

>You've probably damaged the synchro and sliding rings.  When forced, the

I pulled the gearbox today.  There's definitely something jammed between the
synchro and slider ring.  I'll report back when I get it apart and find out
exactly what broke.
