Kelly,
I had my GTV6 tank cleaned and sealed at a radiator shop using a
franchise process called "Gas Tank Renu." They have dealers/franchisees
in several states. Mine was very nice when done. They cut access holes
in the tank in order to clean everything, including rust, out and to
apply the coating. The GTV6 tank has a both vertical and horizontal
baffles so it required six separate access holes. The shop was careful
to put the holes on the back side of the tank so they can only be seen
if the tank is out of the car. After welding patches over the holes
they coat the outside of the tank as well. In all it is a very nice
job. Cost was about $250.
