re: TS in other cars

In AD9-0164 Peter Webb concluded "I did write a post to the digest in the
96-97 time frame on this subject and the perils. Perhaps someone can dig it
up."

I think he may be referring to one in AD2-131, March 26 1996; Brian Wermeyer
fired-off a 'rebutle" in AD2-141 which Peter counter-rebutted as "misinformed
drivel". If that is the one, much of it had to do with Gary Valant's
adaptation of a Twin Spark head to an earlier engine, which was not a simple
bolt-on; buying a complete engine (easier now than then) greatly simplifies
things. In any case, I elect to stand out of the line of fire.

My main interest would be to slip one into an Alfetta sedan, or perhaps into a
nice Milano which had oops'd its timing belt. Y'all can keep your Verdes (and
your turbos, thank you); I would think a 75 Twin Spark (Quadrifoglio Rosa?)
would be a quite enjoyable enough machine for my retarded tastes.

Enjoy yours,

John
