Re: 164S on Ebay for $13,000?

164's are a dime a dozen. Go look at www.autotrader.com. On the other hand
the 164S is a head turner because of the styling. It's also quick.. very
quick if properly tuned. The big deal is that few cars produced combine the
luxury, roominess, great visibility, the right sounds and the exhilarating
handling found in the 164S. Much like an M5 versus a BMW 528. Speaking of
same I finished a 3 year lease on the 528 and was glad to get rid of it.
Compared to my freshly restored 164S the 528 was as unexciting as sourkraut.

$13,000 a lot to pay for a pristine low mileage 164S? If you're an investor
and prefer to regard cars as you would stocks and bonds you're much better
off buying a Saturn at 0-0-0 financing. On the other hand if you get 3 years
of maximum driving pleasure out of a good 164S and then trash it, it may have
cost you even less than owning a new Camry or an Accord. Which would you
rather drive. I think $13,000 for the 164S on Ebay is a fair price
