3) If you suspect an engine fire, be careful opening the hood. See
if you can point the nozzle into the compartment through a crack
in an unlatched hood (Again, it pays to do this before you need
to).

The above warning, as posted by another Digester, is very true. We're not
talking about burned fingertips here, we're talking about giving the fire a
big boost of oxygen when the hood is lifted, potentially causing a flare-up
of the combustible materials. Can you say "facial plastic surgery" boys and
girls?
