A few gueses
At best this sounds like a relay or fuse problem
    checkin fuses and out with the multimeter for cable runs/components!
BUT Do 164s have a fuel cut-off switch?
ON RHD should be either in drivers side wall or bonnet
    IF that cuts out powers off ECU
Worse case is failed KeyCode/ECU system
