Kurt. You may need to have the fuel pressure regulator looked into. It may  
not be bleeding off pressure at idle. 
If that is not the problem, you may have an air leak after the Air Flow 
Meter. 
If that checks out, You may have a bad fuel injection coolant sensor gone 
bad. ( I had this go on my 84 Jag XJ6. Same symptoms. )
If none of these pan out, you Air flow meter my be on the way out. 
I hope this helps you narrow it down.
