Re: Starter relay mod for '72 Spider

Hi Paul:

Any generic 30A SPDT $7 relay should do. I used a Bosch, but there are many similar available at most parts stores. If you prefer a push-button over the original key switch, still use a relay, as either type of switch will benefit from the protection the relay offers. Some recommend using a separate relay to trigger the Spica's cold-start solenoid, but I haven't seen the need.

Regards,

Dean

I know plenty of people have done this mod so thought I'd ask if anyone has
a part number or source for a relay. I'd also consider just installing a
pushbutton rather than a relay. Has anyone done that?
