Removing Cold Start Solenoid

I have a 78 spider that is refusing to start.  I suspect the cold start
solenoid.  I do have a parts car, so I was thinking about swapping them to
see if it makes any improvement.

That leads me to my question:  Do I have to remove the Spica pump in order
to remove the cold start solenoid? If so, how tough a job is it?

I will be doing a little more troubleshooting before I jump into this (if it
is difficult), But I am reasonable sure that it is the problem.

Any thoughts or ideas?
