Mike,

I have tried to get additional info on the Motronic 4.1 system as used in
the 164.  Although there is much published about the earlier Bosch systems
(L-Jet, K-Jet etc), there isn't very much about the Motronic - particularly
the 4.1.  Bosch even publish their own trade guides, but I contacted them
and they don't do a Motronic 4.1 version  :-(

Some other places to try:

Some B*Ws use 4.1, and I have seen things cross-posted from those
discussion groups.

The Peugeot 405 Mi16 and the Citroen BX19 GTi use 4.1.   There is an
interactive  diagnostic program called "CAPS", that is available as a demo
on the Peugeot Mi16 Discussion Forum.  To get this, you will have to
register as a Yahoo use, then go to:

- www.yahoogroups.com
- Sign yourself up, then sign in.
- Go to "Groups Home", and type "PeugeotMI16" in the search box.
- Join this group
- Look under "Files" - it's called "Mi16.exe"

It's a big file - 1.5MB, but well worth downloading and installing
