	I don't think there is an emergency release cable (like the boot.)   But 
don't worry about the dash yet...

	I had this happen to me recently.  If I remember correctly, the Alfa logo 
at the front slides out of the way (or pops off) to reveal two screws. 
Remove them.  You can then pop out the grill, gently prying it out.  Now 
you should be able to access the latch mechanism.  You should be able to 
figure out how to get it to release.

	On my car it looked like the previous owner had had this problem before 
and connected a small loop of wire to the latch.   If I had known to 
look for it all I would have had to do was catch it with a screw driver.
