Are you sure it's the power steering pump? Do you have any noisy idler
pulley bearings? That chewed up one of mine on our '94LS.

On my wife's L, slipping (not tight enough) belt did it once, another
time, a mis-aligned air conditioning compressor (and I suspect the belt
being not tight enough also) was the culprit.

Are your Wheel well engine access covers properly installed? No rubbing
there?
