Further to my dash removal queries.

I just had a good look and I only need to remove the centre console so I can
gain access to the heater. Anybody know what is the "secret" to removing the
centre console on a 75?

I can clearly see that the base has to move forward enough to unclip from
clip on the front of tranmission tunnel (underneath the radio). Is this
simply a case of using enough brute force to push the base of the console
forward or is the a special procedure to follow which simply unlocks the
assemply?
