Beginner's tip -- quicker

When the url link is just two lines, copy the second line to your computer's
clipboard --
That is: first highlight the second line of the url and press control + the c
key (or right click your mouse and use the menu or click edit copy in the menu
bar). Then just click on the first line the live link, when your browser opens
an error window, go up to the address window on the browser, click and go to the
end of the url and paste (control + v) or (right click the mouse and paste or
use the menu bar . . .) when the machine pastes in the last bit of the url,
press enter and voila, all will be well.

Well not always, just used this technique for a link to "Library Journal" and
their server tried to repair the broken link by adding some stuff, I had to edit
the repair and paste in just a portion of the second line.
