Timing tweeks for the '78 Spider, etc.?

Here's what I've got:

'78 Spider w/ignition and Spica tune-up, timing set to 
stock.

Shankle header and test pipe(no converter!), stock 
center and rear exhaust.

NO air pump or vacuum retard for dual points.  ORIGINAL 
Marelli distributor converted to single point set and 
Bosch Blue Coil.

ANY simple suggestions on tweeking the timing for this 
set-up?  Car runs GREAT but just doesn't seem to have 
the upper RPM range I think it should.

Would advancing the timing slightly with this set-up 
produce any benefits?  if so, what timing specs should I 
look for?
