Head nuts

Whilst I could quote several of the contributors to my question
regarding the same, I shan't.

(Jeeze, Louise, don't that sound pretentious?).

Either some or all of the head nuts Shall be loosened in order to remove
said engine with 5-speed transmission. To be incredibly rude, could care
less how you remove enginesafter one idiotic, stupid, time-wasting try
(which was, in fact, completed) at removing an Alfa Spider engine sans
transmission, it shall Never Ever be attempted again under my roof.

Also, it more than somewhat kills me to permanently install something
'backwards' (leave bracket on #3 / #4) from factory specs (unless it
doesn't showwhich, of course, it would in this case).

That said, if one removes the lifting bracket from #5 / #6 and installs
on #3 / #4 studs, one has to Already have made their mind up whether
they're going to snap' / distort the head by Only undoing those specific
nuts (please note: At times numbers, 1,2, 7, 8, 9, 10, will be torqued
to around 65 pounds, whilst numbers 3 to 6 will be loose as the
proverbial goose)ordoes one Major Upset the head gasket by loosening
all nuts then slightly retightening, then removing, then permanently
retightening when one (without question) returns lifting bracket to its
visually correct yet functionally Incorrect position of center stage (of
the head)? Got that? There will be a test.

Should one email me and say, "Only removed numbers 3 to 6 and cam
bearings consequently galled", that would be good information.

On the other hand, should someone Also email, "Loosened all head nuts,
retightened, and suddenly there was oil in the radiator reservoir
bottle", I'd probably get out the dice.

Whilst nowhere near as exciting as the final placement of Joe's 'snake
eating the baby' logo, inquiring / enquiring minds want to know (about
the head nut thing, dammit, pay attention).
