91 spider instruments

With the many problems I've had with the speedometer in my 91 Spider I've
lost count of how many times I've removed the front cover. To remove it
start at the top and release the top clips by lifting up with either a flat
screw drive or table knife as you pull gentle toward you (if you have hard
finger nails they will do). After the top is released you can push down on
the bottom and pull it towards you too. You will have to flex (bend) it
slightly to get it out. This actually took longer to write then it takes me
to take the housing out.

You can also remove the internal cluster by removing the four (4) screws
that hold it, pull it towards you and disconnecting the five connectors. Put
the lever for the headlights in the lower position and lean the cluster down
and slide it out to the left. You may need a screw driver to loosen the
connections from the cluster, don't worry about mixing them up as the only
go back on the one the came off, you can't mix them up, that is, without
screwing them up to do it.
