re: SUV Haters Unite
I can't argue with anyone who takes joy in another person's tragedy. Seems a
bit hypocritical to me, to say the least. I guess I have a different point
of view than some people involved here. Personally, I make it my
responsibility to watch out for my own safety, the safety of my loved ones,
and the safety of people around me, whenever I get behind the wheel of any
car. Be it in an SUV or whatever. Seeing as most accidents are not caused by
one factor, its also overly simplistic and narrow minded to say that its
because of one person's choice in automobile. If you find yourself being hit
by an SUV, Joe...or whomever is reading this, ask yourself where you messed
up and let your awareness slip. Don't plan on other people not to hit you,
as well as you shouldn't count on other people not to rob you, beat you, or
generally hurt you in anyway.
Just be happy that there are people around like me who would go out of their
way to help someone in need (say someone with a GTV-6 fire caused by dried
leaves in their heaterbox...or an Explorer owner who's Firestone's burst
sending the car tumbling....by the way, how the heck do you bring up faulty
tires and people not wearing seatbelts...a bit off course). If everyone was
like you...sitting back and having a chuckle at the SUV burning by the side
of the road...or the carjacker who pulled someone out of their Suburban by
gunpoint...maybe firing a round or two to make a point...well, I might just
wanna give up on humanity. Again, its a car...a mode of transportation.
People don't buy them to be dastardly, but people who hate them sure do seem
to have a problem....
Oh and Doug...seek help ;)
