Carello, the headlight people.
F> Where can I purchase them?
I think both Centerline and Alfa Ricambi have them. IAP too.
F> Are they difficult to install "properly?"
Don't know, mine came installed on my car. Doesn't look to tough though.

Don't know again. Mine don't have the ring but also have an unfinished
look. I'd go with the ring I think.

They do get dirty inside. I pull mine off every time I wash the car so
I can clean the lights and the covers. They come off easy though, just
one screw in front holding a chrome clamp piece. takes about a minute
a side with a screwdriver. They don't make a waterproof seal so water
gets inside the covers. I guess you could probably find some thin
rubber strip to act as a weather seal but I doubt you could close em
up completely.
F> Do they defuse the light?
Anything in front of the lights will diffuse them a bit but I don't
see any breakup of the pattern or degradation in light output. The
trick is to keep them clean. Mine were getting pretty bad so I used my
electric drill and buffing wheel with some red rouge compound. Cleaned
them right up, clear as when new.
F> Do they shake, rattle, or otherwise make noise?
As mounted mine can move a bit but they don't make any noise at all
when driving.
F> Do they tend to disappear? Lost or stolen?
Mine haven't. Not much anyone without a Spider can do with them so I
don't think they make much of a target. I guess it depends on where you
park your Spider but I'd expect a radio to be gone, or a nice wooden
shift knob, long before the covers take a walk.
Any questions let me know,
Ed
