Leaking Alfetta Rear Caliper Adjuster

Dear Folks,

I recently replaced the rear brake pads on my 1979 Alfetta Sprint
Veloce. I did not replace the rotors because they seemed to be
requisite thickness with no scoring or warping. I adjusted the
outer (with the socket/visegrip/allen key) and inner pads to
.002" clearance.

The brake performance is satisfactory except that the right side
inner adjuster is now leaking slightly (not enough to detect any
change in the level in the master cylinder reservoir over 200
miles but making the area below the adjuster look "dampened").
While I was turning the adjuster to retract the piston so I could
insert the new pad, I never felt it hit any stop.

I assume it is the o-ring on the adjuster is leaking. Does this
mean that the caliper must be removed and split for it to be
replaced?

If I have to take the caliper off, would you recommend a rebuilt
caliper and new rotors too or do you think rebuilding it and
leaving the existing rotors would be OK? The car has 103,000
miles on it.

I'm tired of brake fluid at the moment having recently replaced a
(leaky) brake master cylinder, (leaky) clutch master cylinder and
(leaky) clutch slave cylinder but as I now realize, these things
happen.

Thanks for your help.
