Milano Timing marks and other stuff

1. Timing marks?

I have this used engine from an 87 milano which is going into my GTV6 as I
situating the plugwires I notice when the pointers on the cam pullies are at
thier mark the crank "p" is about 1/2 inch past the pointer. (basically
straight up) I pulled the cam covers and again with the cam marks lined up the
"p" is at the top. The seller, who is on this forum and has a great reputation
said the engine ran great and I have no reason not to belive him. Am I missing
something please help Also I can rotate the engine just by grabing the crank
pullywith two hand with the plugs in is this normal or have I bought a stuffed
engine? It seems like my 164 is alot harder of course the angle of attack in
the 164 is quite different.

2. does the starter cable just hook up to the same firewall lug that the
battery cable is hooked to (it's been awhile since I pulled the old motor.

Where in the hell is the charcol canister (83 GTV6) I have this vacume hose
that comes from the crankcase brether that dissapears into the firewall, it's
kinda old and I would like to replace it, can't figure where it goes.

3. Fuel filter/pump area. Will a regular fuel hose make that rediculus U bend
without kinking or do I have to order a special hose?

Thanks for the help

Thanks Curt Norheim
