Milano tweaks

My Milano phone-dial wheels were looking kinda beat. I planned to
repaint them, so I started cleaning them.

I used paint stripper to remove the paint, and then hit them with the
buffer and some aluminum polish. I was happy to see that the Aluminum
was rather easily buffed to a nice shine, a lot nicer looking than the
original gray paint. They do have a slightly grooved surface so it
wouldn't be easy to polish them to a mirror finish, but thats ok with
me. I plan to just clear coat them when I'm done.

I've also been using air conditioning duct insulation (Frost King brand)
for sound deadening material. It's for all intents and purposes
identical to the foil backed Dynamat stuff, but a lot cheaper and
availible at your local home store. Just cut-n-stick.

I've put it inside the doors, and they now close with a nice thud. I
used it to replace my ratty hood liner too. So far no problems with
engine heat and it has a definately noticable effect.
