I have happily used POR-15 for a very small job. I am NOT a body repair expert and encourage (insist) that you get others' opinions.

However, if you decide to use it, I can recommend http://www.rustpaint.com as a great place to buy it. Fast service and low shipping costs. (no connection to them; they were recommended to me by newsgroup dedicated to an extinct American company that made wheeled vehicles from 1852 to 1966.)
