re - Koni gas-filled dampers

I have Koni high pressure gas-filled dampers on my Alfetta GT. They
work well, better with stock springs and T-bars than with upgraded. One
complaint is that the right rear (closest to the exhaust??) stopped
working, and it leaked. I lost my receipt, so the lifetime warranty was
void for me. Bummer. I did talk to a rep at Koni US, though, and got a
super deal on a set they had in stock. The fronts were NLA, and the
rear dampers were available, only to the exent of what they had on the
shelf. Out of production, is what I heard. At least for the Alfetta.
Another heavuy sigh.

<<snip>>

Actually the red Koni Special D shocks are adjustable-- just fully
collapse
the piston into the tube, engage the tabs into the slots, and rotate.
There
are four settings if you count the softest one, too.

Also, one Koni shock yet to be mentioned is the fairly rare Koni
Gas-Filled.
Though they are only listed for the Alfetta, they will also fit the
GTV-6 and
Milano, but unfortunately not any of the Giulia based cars. I've used
three
sets on GTV-6s and Milanos, and have found them to be superior to the
Special
D, Sport, and Blistein for street and light track use.

Good Luck,
Paul Mitchell
