panasports vs. minilites

My recollection is that GTAms, GTVs, etc. running in the 60s and 70s were on
Minilites (among others), not Panasports.  Aren't Panasports a more recent
development that wasn't around in those days, and is basically a copy (no
wait, a reverential duplication) of the Minilite?  I think that's was
Kwech's car had, though I was about 12 at the time.
