Have a 91 164 that seems to blow internal air out of the defroster vents
primarily, no matter what vents are selected. Is this a stepper motor
problem? Also, the auto tranny shifts fine except when downshifting, either
manually or by jamming the pedal to the floor, from 4th to 3rd where it
slips a bunch before engaging. Is this an out-of-whack adjustment or a bad
omen announcing something nefarious going on down there? The manual says
the tranny can be set in the sport or economy modes of operation, but says
nothing as to how this is done. Anyone know how to accomplish this feature.
