Speedo fine tuning

Hi!

I have an 87 Alfa Spider that has a faulty speedometer.  It works
(somewhat), it's just that the reading is way off, like when I'm going
100km/h, it shows around 80km/h.  When I'm going slow, the needle barely
moves.

I took the speedo gauge out of the instrument cluster and noticed a small
adjusting pot on the bottom, near the trip odometer reset.  Would this be
the "fine tuning" that I'm looking for?
