Re: 164 Alarm

When I bought my 93 164L last year it came with no key for the alarm and no
remotes to operate the electric door locks. BTW, at least for US models the
alarm system was USA sourced to Alfa. I contact a local sound and alarm shop
that advertised high quality custom work. Their website confirmed what he
told me. The very helpful fellow advised that for under $100 he could
replace/install the central control unit thus renewing complete function as
well as providing 2 new remotes. He said he had not seen a 164 but had done
a few spiders over the years. Haven't done it yet, but it is in the budget.
