My 90 has an unusual arrangement of courtesy lights. The glovebox light
comes on with the ignition, the boot light comes on with the parking lights
(as does the engine bay light, which despite being positioned over the
dipstick, isn't bright enough to let you get the dipstick into the hold
without fumbling). The owner's manual confirms that these are the way they
are supposed to be. Sigh. I think it was a case of put the door-open
sensors in the door handles themselves, and avoid the use of any micro-
switches anywhere else where they might be useful. But I just remembered
that the fusebox light is on when the fusebox door is open.
