    Jeff - don't forget the basics:  make sure the grounds and wiring from
the alt to the battery (via the starter terminal?) is in good shape, as well
as chassis grounds, etc.  Even if your battery and alt/reg are fine, the
former won't get charged if the path between them is no good.  Take heart -
it's usually something simple.
