1. Uncle Sam ain't a patch on Germany when it comes to
restrictions on what can be sold. TUV makes DOT look
like a bunch of damn anarchists...and Fiat sells every
model they make there. 

2. To reiterate from a previous letter: Alfa's failure
(and to a lesser extent Fiat's failure) in this
country was due to lousy marketing, period. Any
marketing guy who uttered the excuse that the gummint
had regulated them out of the market was giving us
just that: an excuse.
