Re: getting around the import rules (forward)



Way to go John! If you people actually READ this info, you'll find that
there is a list of questions you have to answer before getting the NHTSA
to grant you the "Show or Display" exemption. I note in particular
questions 3 and 4:

3.Whether the make and model of a vehicle is currently in production. 
4.Whether production of the vehicle make and model was greater than 500 
  units. 

If the answer to either of these is YES, then you can basically forget
it unless you are the manufacturer. There is also an exemption for cars
of particular technological or historical significance.

So much for importing a run-of-the-mill production 156...
