Add to the cost of a bottom end rebuild (or a complete engine overhaul,
you'll want Sperry stage 5 heads to go with the bottom end) $1200 for
pistons and liners from Alfa Ricambi (stock 3 liter pistons and liners are
around $700) and maybe $1,000 to machine the block.

You'll need to pay attention to injectors and fuel delivery to avoid running
lean.

My understanding is that you'll gain an extra 50 - 75 hp (or more) with the
larger bore.
