The front of the Alfetta, GTV-6 and Milano all have a lift point in front
of the radiator. It is right in the center of the car under the bumper. You
may need to put wood on your floor jack to get to it without damage to the
sheetmetal around it.
Put your floor jack under the Di Dion. The Watts linkage connects in the
exact center, so that is where your jack goes.
Or put a block of wood on your floor jack and lift exactly in the center
of the side of the rocker panel between the two jacking points. It may take
a bit of testing to determine the exact point where both the front and rear
wheels lift evenly. Once you determine that point, paint a BIG arrow on the
door pointing to the exact point where the jack goes. <grin> Set your jack
stands and repeat on the other side.
Please note the latter method of lifting from the sides is the most
dangerous. I suggest lifting the front first, then the rear. After the
stands are in place, shake the car. If it falls off the stands, do not get
under it until you get it right.
Most racers lift there cars from the sides and they often paint a mark at
the lift point. That is probably because their cars are too low to get a
jack under the front or rear.
Finally, lifting the passenger side only is most helpful for bleeding the
Alfetta series clutch slave. Tilting the car gets the bleed screw elevated
to where it does what it is supposed to do.
For what it is worth, I lift spiders by jacking under one A arm and
putting a 4x4 under the tire. Then I do the same on the other side.
Continue until your floor jack will go under the oil pan and lift from the
main crossmember directly behind the oil drain plug. Or drive up onto wheel
ramps and then lift the front off the ramps with your floor jack.

Subject: Lift points for floor jack
All this talk of lifts, reminds me I need to raise my 1985 GTV6 so I can get
under it to work on something (clutch is not engaging and a small leak of
fluid appears under the rear of the car). I intend to use a floor jack and 4
jackstands. I can find the 4 reinforced points where the jackstands can go,
but where are the proper points to use the floor jack to lift the car? I
don't want to damage anything with the floor jack so if possible be specific
as to the locations to lift the front and rear so I can get the jack stands
under the car.
Thanks
