Greetings
I recently posted a query about generic 105 series wheel bearings. Thanks
to all who replied. I now have the bearings and seals, shipped as a kit by
the unfailingly efficient (ahem) Turin Imports of South Australia.
The bearings have the following codes: SKF 30206 J2/Q & SKF 32303 J2. The
seals bear the legend AKRON(!) and the number codes 40 65 9 & 13186.
Re: the MB adjustment nut. I phoned the local MB parts house who quoted
AU$52 each for the nuts, plus AU$6 each for the locking screws. I'll be
giving that particular upgrade a miss, and relieving the back of the Alfa
nut instead, if neccessary.
Yuletide agenda: beach (early) for a spot of body surfing, light lunch
(salad and cold meat), poolside afternoon with cold beers, nice red with
light dinner. Hope you all enjoy yours.
Cheers
Mat, Perth, Western Australia
