Well, I guess it was mostly because 'everyone else was doing it....' ABS 
was THE THING when the Milano came out. Had occasion to use mine on sheer 
ice once or twice, helped for sure. Its been bulletproof thus far too. 
I'm banking that good preventative maintenence will keep it going....
